The focus of the 2024 University of Maryland (UMD) Time Use Conference will be using time use and well-being data to investigate temporal dimensions of racial and ethnic inequities and structural racism. The 2024 UMD Time Use Conference will give members of the growing interdisciplinary time use research community the opportunity to interact and share ideas.

Data-Intensive Research Conference Pre-Conference Workshop
This workshop is designed to familiarize participants with two specific population data resources from IPUMS related to the conference theme of Harnessing the Power of Linked Data to Study Aging. The workshop will include an overview of IPUMS data and their suitability for studying aging and the life course, and then participants will be separated into two tracks focused on linking with IPUMS full count data or data linkages with IPUMS MEPS. The Network for Data-Intensive Research on Aging (NDIRA), a collaboration between IPUMS and the University of Minnesota Life Course Center, is proud to sponsor the 2024 Data-Intensive Research Conference. The 2024 Data-Intensive Research Conference will showcase research that leverage large-scale linked population data to examine aging and life course processes in the U.S. and global contexts. The event will be hosted in Minneapolis, MN at IPUMS HQ.
